I grew up with cats but became a dog owner as an adult. After my dog Osker sadly passed away at the end of last year, I started taking on pet-sitting and dog-walking jobs. I work mostly from home on a freelance basis, so I have lots and lots of free time available to dedicate to your fur babies. I also live directly next to Holyrood Park - a perfect spot for dog walks!
Typically, I only accept pet-sitting bookings from one household at a time, so that I am able to give your animal(s) 100% of my love and attention for the time that they are with me. I am also happy to accept dogs that are reactive to other dogs and/or have separation anxiety. Additionally, I do have experience of caring for senior animals or animals with health issues and medication requirements.&nbsp;
For dog-walking, I can accommodate either solo or group walks depending on the needs of your pet. Please feel free to get in touch so we can discuss!
Please note that I am unlikely to accept drop-in or dog walking bookings which are for residences more than 1.5 miles from my location. Please confirm your postcode so we can confirm this when you enquire!

Hello :) I'm Beth, a pet lover from Edinburgh! I'm looking to part-time dog walk to get a little extra cash and spend time with my favourite furry friends. I have lots of experience with dogs as I've had them all my life. I recently had to give up my staffie due to personal circumstances meaning I am even more keen to get out there to meet some new dogs! 
I am confident and experienced with dogs that may pull, have extra needs or may become aggressive with other dogs. I also am capable of walking dogs of any size. I have volunteered in a dog shelter which has further expanded my experience with dogs!
I also have an open service for a check-in service once a day. Please keep this in mind if your pet has attachment issues or may be lonely with only one visit. 
As of right now my availability is limited from Friday-Monday but may become more open in the near future.

I am a responsible and caring person, and most importantly, animal lover at the centre of who I am. My passion for animals began in my early childhood, playing pretend games involving animals, which ultimately led me to become a veterinarian and study animal behavior and welfare as an adult. Throughout my whole life I have had dog companions that I will be always very thankful for all the love they shared and their friendship. My motivation to work as a dog/pet sitter is that I genuinely love spending time with them, getting to know their kind hearts and providing them with a comfortable atmosphere.
I am an active person that is in perfect shape for long walkies and games but also equally happy to spend time inside relaxing, so I am happy with whatever your dog preferences are. I feel more comfortable spending time with dogs as I understand them better and have more experience but I'm happy to sit other animals as well.
House sitting/Overnight stay will depend on my current availability (I work in retail without a fixed schedule i.e. it changes every week and I know with one to two weeks in advance), and I'm happy to discuss this further with you so that we are both happy. My fee includes staying overnight, one evening and one morning walk, and feeding (obviously), as well as any medications your pet may need. The amount of time I can stay at your home with your pet will vary from day to day and week to week.&nbsp;
My Walks service can last from 15 min to 1 h depending on your needs and my availability. They could be longer as well but this will vary according to my availability. In any case, I'm happy to discuss this with you.
I am a vet so I'm trained to administer medication orally, by injection and on the skin. I can also clean wounds and change dressing. Any other treatment that your pet is receiving can be discussed.&nbsp;

Know it's difficult to leave the house or for vacation when your beloved pet can't come with you. From personal experience, it can be difficult to have that support network, but you'd still want the very best for your dog.

I love dogs and miss having a companion to walk. I've had two dogs in my life, one who was a rescue and wasn't good with humans or dogs and the other is a lab who loves absolutely everyone she comes across so I am happy to take on any dog with any personality. Of course, I'd be happy to meet first and make sure you and your pup settles in with me - even if it takes a couple pre visits first.&nbsp;
I love going adventures and it fills me with joy having a dog to adventure with me, taking in the sights and wonderful smells their noses pick up. I am very caring and your pup would have my full attention in my care.&nbsp;
My lab is a family pet so stays with my mum but I help out with walks and overnight stays. I trained her for my mum so she is house trained and knows basic tricks so if you would like some training involved this can be arranged.

Hi I'll answer these in order make it easy for everyone .My motivation for this job is I love animals always have I've spent my whole life dedicated to learning everything I possibly can about them.I have plenty of experience I've worked in kennels/catteries and stabels I've been an independently dog walker for 3 years now and I've pet sat birds/rodents/aquatic animals and reptiles I've owned some of these animals aswell.I offer experience dealing with different problems: leash pulling/chewing/advice on species/breed specific issues&nbsp;I'm starting a college course on animal behaviour I've not completed it yet so I will not be a certified professional.&nbsp;I am able to administer oral medication to pets .For home visits I'll stay as long as I can it usually depends of what you need me to do such as feed/ change water /give medication and playtime to your pets.Dog walks can range the same it depends on what your pet needs walking a pug compared to a collie is a different amount of time usually minum 15 minutes to an hour max.House sitting I can be booked all day for multiple days if needed of course I might have to pop out for an hour max to deal with appointments or nearby pet Poppins.&nbsp;

I moved to Edinburgh from New Zealand in 2022 and have been really missing animals as I'm not allowed a pet in my flat. I used pawshake to help save up for my move back in New Zealand for six months before I moved here. I really enjoyed meeting new people and pets and getting to form a bond with the ones I saw regularly. Hi, there! My name is Noah and I'm now studying in the art college of UoE. I really love animals and most of my design works start from animals' perspectives. I have some experience of walking and taking care of my friends' dogs when she is busy with her work (her dog is a Corgi, he has been bullied by large dogs in his childhood, it's not easy to walk him in the street.) Also, my sister is working in London, I will take care of her baby cat, jojo, in my holiday (you can see him in my profile photos)
Because I can't have a cat in the flat I rent, I only can be responsible for home visit. I have some free time in weekdays, especially in Wednesday, and of course the weekends. I totally understand the problem of my sister when she has to fly to another country for business trips or she cannot easily promise a long holiday trip, because she worries her pets. Also we don't really agree on sending cats to a new place for boarding, most of them have stress reactions. So I think home visit is a better way to solve problems. I am very responsible for taking care of cats. Don't worry about your cats starving or feeling lonely, I'm really looking forward to spending time with them :)
