Anna
Animal lover looking to help others with their little floofs

About Anna
Hi, my name is Anna and I am an avid lover of animals! I am 34, live in North Beeston, and work at the University of Nottingham.
I offer a life experience of having been raised simultaneously with dogs (of all manner of the small, medium, and large variety, ranging from Pomeranians to Labradors), and so am very comfortable with dogs of all strengths and sensibilities! I do not get squeamish when it comes to the nitty gritty (our longest family pet had a bad tendency to get car sick, and another was very fond of rolling around in the fish that would wash up near our home) and have always volunteered myself to friends and family who are needing to go on holiday.
Whether it was housing my friend's rabbit for the week, walking my cousin's dog when visiting, or house sitting my friend's (very old and very ill) cat, I've always been happy to assist. My friend's cat had eye ulcers, required different meds as well as a mixture of different foods, the last of which was needed to force feed into the mouth. When visiting my brother I have helped around the house with their two cats, not just the regular food and water but also assisting with applying flea tick solution and getting them away from all the animals they were bringing in - and very sadly, cleaning up the mess.
I currently have a guinea pig called Peppa who is now 4 and a half and who requires very constant care, as she has bladder sludge and is on a very strict diet. I am therefore very adept at Syringe feeding (whether it's mixed supplements, feed, or antibiotics), administering eye drops/gel to squirmy animals, and cleaning/looking after cuts post surgery.
Whilst I may not have the greatest range of experience with all types of animals, I am more than happy to gain experience looking after more exotic pets of the non-floof variety, so turtles/lizards/fish etc are welcome!
In summary, I am very familiar with the below animals:
Cats
Dogs
Guinea pigs
Rabbits
In terms of services I'd happily provide:
Once daily or Multiple daily house visits:
I am happy to spend at least 30 minutes with your pet should they want the extra social interaction (cuddles, play, etc), but should they be shy and prefer to be left alone, I will happily respect their space. Ideally any preferences and requests can be talked through on our Meet & Greet.
Dog walking: I live near Wollaton park, so depending on how long the visit is and the person's proximity that is most likely where I would take them around, unless there is another preferred route for you.
During the visit, I am more than amenable to:
Clean up of all types of mess when this does occur
Eye/flea treatments/syringe feeding/providing vet's medication (i.e. pills)
Taking in people's mail/parcels/watering plants
Whilst I work mornings Mondays to Fridays, I would happily be available for very early house visits, should pet owners find that acceptable. Otherwise I'm free from the afternoon onwards and all day on the weekends, so my timetable is relatively flexible.
I am very much hoping to be requested as a sitter, as I can't imagine a better way to spend my free time --- and as I have been trying to remain as active as possible, especially now that we are heading into winter, I can only imagine that caring for pets is really the best way to do so.
Any queries, please drop me a line, I'd be happy to answer any questions you have for me!
