About Natassia
I lived in Dubai for 7 years and volunteered at 2 feline rescue charities (Feline Friends and The Bin Kitty Collective) where my role was to run TNR programs on local colonies, provide feeding and water stations, adoption days and fostering. We also worked with the local community to help educate people on the cleanliness of these animals and ways in which they can help them. As well as taking them through the adoption process and helping families choose the right companion for them. Even as a child, I was raised with the belief that if you bring it into the house, it is your responsibility so I was encouraged to do my research and contact vets and rescue groups for tips and advice. As a result, I know how to bottle feed and clean young kittens, administer medication as stress-free as possible for the animal, and build trust with animals of varying temperaments. I believe it is very important to build trust with both the animal and the client as animals are a part of the family and everyone wants the best for a family member.
I have worked as a dog walker and pet sitter for 4 years, allowing me to develop strong skills when it comes to handling different breeds of dogs with varying demands. Each animal is an individual with unique traits and personality. Knowing how to handle them safely and comfortably, particularly when interacting on walks and with other dogs is crucial to this role. I have grown up with a variety of animals so I am confident in handling and caring for cats, dogs, hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pigs, budgies and geckos, etc.
I have experience handling up to three dogs at a time providing each pet with the companionship and exercise that they need to feel healthy and happy. Three spaniels that I have spent time building a close relationship with and have excellent recall will often run alongside me while I ride a bike through the local woodland. As a working breed this allows them to drain their excessive energy. While allowing us to bond during our walks and socialise with other dogs.
I am currently studying Zoology at university (if that doesn’t tell you I love animals I’m not sure what will) I have a full DBS check, public liability insurance, and am certified in pet first aid course and am in the process of obtaining a full driving licence.
