About Janelle
Hello there! I'm Janelle and I'm 24 this year :) Thanks for taking the time to read my profile as I share a little bit more about myself below!
My experience 🩺
I worked as a veterinary nurse in Singapore before moving to Edinburgh, and I'm confident in administering medication and treatments (oral, injections, subcutaneous fluids, wound cleaning, etc.).
I am currently enrolled in my clinical years of Veterinary Medicine at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, where I learn the ins and outs of proper pet care and handling, as well as treatments and symptoms of ailments in companion animals.
I've also been pet sitting for more than 2 years in both Singapore and Edinburgh, and have volunteered in multiple animal shelters and clinics over the past 10 years, where I've interacted with a multitude of furry clients - big and small; young and old 🐶🐱
Check out the reviews from my clients from Singapore in my gallery! I'm also working on a blog sharing pet care tips and common pet illnesses on https://janellelsr.wixsite.com/dogtor-tales
What to expect 🐾
• Frequent updates and photos/videos with every visit: I always make it a point to send a little update of your furry friend at each visit or during my stay to give you a peace of mind wherever you are
• A complimentary meet up session before each booking: this gives all of us (including your pet) a chance to get to know each other better, and some time for us to go over your pet's routine together!
• Flexible schedule: most of my lectures are conducted online, with few in-person classes during the week, allowing me to have a flexible schedule to accommodate your pet's needs.
• Following your pet's routine: A change in routine can induce a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety for animals, thus I'll make sure to follow your pet's daily routine closely to make them as comfortable as possible while you're away.
During each visit, I'll generally help to ensure your pet is well fed during mealtimes, reset your pet's living space (e.g. clearing the litterbox, cleaning and refilling their water and food bowls, etc.), and other miscellaneous tasks that you need to get done around the house. If your furry friend needs a companion overnight, I'm happy to provide overnight housesitting services too!
