Hello! I'm Krista, I moved to Glasgow from Canada in 2022 with my cat, Simba. I have been immersed in the pet ownership world since the age of 6 and have owned/cared for many cats and dogs of varying sizes and personalities over the past 22 years!

Before moving to Glasgow, I worked for the BCSPCA (the Canadian equivalent to the SSPCA) for 7 years as an Animal Care Specialist and as a Veterinary Assistant for 2.5 years at my local Veterinary clinic. My roles involved conducting medical intake examinations on all surrendered and stray animals, including vaccine and medication administration in conjunction with daily care. I have experience administering topical, oral, and subcutaneous treatments. I further worked with shelter dogs to complete canine behaviour modification plans, giving me experience training puppies and adult dogs in obedience, socialization, fear, and anxiety. This experience has allowed me to work with critters of all ages, ranging from kittens and puppies to seniors!

My animal shelter work also involved fostering many stray animals in need of extra care in my home until they were ready for adoption. I have fostered puppies and litters of kittens ranging from 3 weeks to 10 months old. I find it immensely rewarding to help animals progress both medically and behaviourally and eventually find their forever homes!

I currently work remotely as an Environmental Biologist which allows for lots of flexibility when pet-sitting. I know that choosing a reliable and trustworthy pet-sitter can be a daunting task, so I am more than happy to chat further about my experience and your pet's needs to determine if we would be a good fit!

My goal is to create a safe and fun space for your pet while you are away. I have experience working with a wide variety of personality types and adapt my approach as needed to make your pet as comfortable as possible.

I live a very active lifestyle and am always out for walks/hikes on local trails and parks!

I'm currently accepting new client bookings in the West end and Merchant city area of Glasgow. Requests for services outside of those areas will be subject to additional availability since I do rely on public transit 🙂
