About me and my experiences
I've had pets and have pet-sat since I was a wee little one. Dogs, cats, birds, turtles, rabbits, and fish - and not to forget, indoor and outdoor plants (they count as pets too). I love animals in every shape and form and feel very lucky to have been able to care for so many growing up.
I've also been lucky to have parents who let myself and my sister foster kittens and puppies, so I have ample experience caring for the little babies. Along with this, I spent all major holidays (Halloween, Easter, etc) caring for neighbours pets, friends pets, and friends of friends. I found this to be really helpful and eliminated the need for the pet to be alone for 3-4 hours (and for the pet owners to rush home).
More of my experience
Through caring for so many pets I've managed to really understand the different personalities and quirks of our little pets, and as a result I'm very patient and take time to learn about your pet, bond with them, and ensure they're always happy to see me.
I have experience with:
Current schedule and promise to your pets
I have recently found myself with a lot of free time, as a result I'm available 7 days a week to care for your pets. Ideally 8am - 10pm, but I'm happy to work something else out on a case by case basis. I've got a crate that can be used in my vehicle for safe transport and it can also be moved and stored indoors.
I'm also available on most bank holidays and holiday occasions.
During our intial appointment to meet yourself and your pets, I will make thorough notes about the dos and don'ts with your pets in your own home and on walks. A walkthrough of the areas I will need access to will be beneficial.
After our appointment, I like to walk around the area or drive to the nearest green area to suss out walking and play spots. I'm happy to have you and your pet(s) on this walk. It helps with easing your pet into meeting a random stranger, especially if your pet has any anxiety problems or special needs.
Case by case service:
I'm currently only accepting dogs in my own home for Dog Boarding and Day Care based on how they will get along with my two cats.
My cats spend most of their days outside and come inside at 5pm. They are very gentle and friendly, and my aim is to introduce any other animals who come to my home gradually and gently.
My flat is a 2 bedroom flat with plenty of room for a up to 2 medium dogs to lounge, sleep, and play for a few hours. Your dogs are welcome on my sofas, but let me know if you would like me to discourage the behaviour. I also have the large crate that can be used, if needed.
I have a large outdoor space for play time (it's not fenced, so leads will be on. Based on your dogs recall, we can be off lead over time). I live very close to the downs and Hove park, and regularly walk my neighbours dogs over there.
There are many other dogs around the downs to help your dogs socialise, but I also know of paths and areas that are a little quieter (for the doggos who need space).
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
