About Charlie
Hello I'm Charlie! Based in Royston and serious about pet care. Animals of all kinds have always been a point of passion for me which is why I dedicate my best to keeping them happy and healthy!
I offer services as a Pet sitter for Dogs, Cats, rodents, Small mammals (rabbits /cavies) reptiles, and Birds, alongside a dog walking service.
I do not have a car so all bookings must be located in Royston. I am unable to provide boarding services due to my own cat who is scared or defensive towards other animals.
-What does a house visit look like?- 🐕♥️
I help you to continue your animal's personal routine while you're away and deliver professional, personal and kind animal care
During my house visits I will provide your animals food, clean their bowls, change their water, clean litter / take them out to use the toilet, play with them with their favourite toys and give them lots of cuddles if they are the affectionate sort.
For exotics the service is much the same plus at least 20 minutes of handling time, unless the animal is not to be held. I will check their environmental parameters to make sure they are within safe ranges and can either spot clean or full clean their enclosure.
I can give animals oral or dermal medication but not injections. I generally spend about 20-45 min per visit and don't charge extra for multiple animals as long as their care is possible in the visit timeframe.
While I am round I can also water your plants/garden, and bring out bins for collection, alongside any other common tasks.
For dog walks, I would typically do one long walk per day (45-60mins, depending on size and energy of dog), and up to 2 more shorter walks per day (around 30mins).
While your pets are in my care you will receive updates and pictures to let you know how they're getting on at home! As well as a quick way to contact me should any questions or information need to be exchanged.
-Qualifications and experience- 🐈💙
I have completed two years in further education to gain a National Diploma in Animal Management (Lv3) graduating with DDD* (AAA+)
I became a pet sitter to utilise my skills in a domestic environment, taking care of clients pets while their owners are away or temporarily unable to care for them.
I have experience in having repeatedly house sat the animals of family and friends, taking dogs for walks, cleaning rabbit, chicken, reptile, and hamster enclosures, picking up after them, providing great nutrition, and of course providing comfort and stability in continuing their personalised daily routine.
-I believe every animal is different- 🐍🧡
I am always empathetic towards the animals I care for and always strive to see things from their perspectives, to understand their behaviour and adjust my care to support them as best I can during the time I am with them.
I will ensure that your Pets will have a safe, positive and enjoyable time in my company, and hope to hear from you soon!
