About Steve
I am a retired Animal Behaviour Practitioner, having helped to found, run and direct a busy Dog Training & Welfare focused Day Care facility. During Covid restrictions the business pivoted to an exclusively virtual presence, supporting Dog Trainers and Behaviour Practitioners to run successful businesses and sharing our wealth of knowledge, to date, to over 4000 participants all over the world with our VIP Dog Owner Academy which you can view here; https://vipdogowners.teachable.com.
Prior to that I owned an equestrian centre which I ran with my 2 daughters where I was known for my empathy with a naturally nervous type of animal. I learnt my equestrian skills over 30 years in the Metropolitan Police Mounted Branch.
These 2 careers have taught me so much about animal behaviour so that I can find an initial diagnosis, help people understand what their animals need from them, and work to bring the animals requirements into easy daily life for the family - solving the friction and resorting relationships.
My interests outside of these vocations include sailing, kayaking, cycling and continuing self development as I believe that you're never too old to learn!
I am 100% reliable, calm, consistent, timely and trustworthy and usually able to resolve any problems that might arise.
I now live on my own apart, from a 6 year old Belgian Shepherd, who does not need to travel with me as I have other people that will care for her when I am away if required.
I am happy to discuss any specific requirements that anyone might have.
