About Anna
I am interested in all non-human animals and welcome opportunities to interact with them. I especially adore cats. Petsitting is an enjoyable way to spend time, as well as a way to supplement my income. I believe in protecting the welfare of all animals and respecting their interests. As an independent person, I like to spend a lot of time away from human company, but an animal companion is always welcome. :) Sadly, my living situation as a private renter means that I am not able to accommodate a cat myself.
I had a hamster and guinea pigs when I was small, and have had two cats in my life. The second of these died in 2020. He was a dear old friend, whom I took in when he was homeless.
I would be very happy to spend time with any cat. I generally don't look after dogs. I have been doing this for several years now and have been able to meet and make friends with a wide variety of cats, as well as getting to see many different parts of Nottingham.
On house visits, I will spend at least 30 minutes per visit, but it is often quite a bit longer. I am very flexible in terms of my availability for visits.
I am not happy to house sit for people with cameras in their houses.
I charge extra for key holiday dates. Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day are charged at double time. Easter Sunday and bank holidays (including Good Friday and Easter Monday) are time and a half. This will need to be arranged in advance.
My prices factor in the cost of public transport, on which I am reliant, and Pawshake's 19% fee to pay for insurance.
Please feel free to make enquiries/requests concerning the care of aquaria and other varieties of pet. I'm very happy to feed fish, water plants, take out rubbish or draw curtains in your absence.
