About Sarah
Hello!
My name is Sarah, and I’m a 23 year old conservation biology student at Plymouth University with a lifelong love for animals. Growing up with rescue dogs, I've always felt happiest around pets, and I bring that same warmth and enthusiasm to every animal I care for.
I studied animal management in college, where I learned about animal husbandry, behavior, ethics, welfare, and even some basic veterinary nursing skills. I cared for domestic pets, farm animals and exotic animals, and I achieved top grades. My university studies in conservation biology have only deepened my knowledge, especially regarding animal behavior.
I have years of experience caring for pets of friends and family, including deaf animals, puppies, and dogs with behavioral challenges like aggression. I also used to have rescue rats, and a rescued python so I am no stranger to caring for more exotic pets. My approach is attentive, patient, and compassionate, always prioritizing the comfort and happiness of each pet.
I currently live with a whippet who could be a playmate for your dog on walks if they get along—though solo walks are no problem if that’s what your pet prefers. I’m also comfortable with dogs that need to stay on-lead or be muzzled in public. For cat owners, you can trust that I’ll give your feline friend all the affection and attention they deserve while you're away.
Though I don’t drive, I’m flexible with transport and can cycle or use public transport to reach any area in Plymouth.
I look forward to meeting the pet that's part of your family and providing them with the best care possible.
