Emily

Hello, my name is Emily, and I am a 20 year old and completed a Level 3 Animal Welfare student and now waiting to start a degree in canine & feline behaviour. 

As part of my course I have worked at various animal care facilities such as, a farm petting centre, a Doggy Day care centre, Dog Kennels as well as Pets at Home.

The Doggy day care centre was at Hilltop Retreat which looks after dogs for the day as well as long term.  My chief responsibilities were; walking the dogs, preparing thier food and water, cleaning and preparing thier apartments as well as playing with the dogs and checking thier welfare. Here I looked after mutiple dogs from large to small dogs all with thier own unique individual temperaments. I had to work with nervous, excited and very boistrous dogs to small puppies. I have also had work experience at pets at home - working with the small mammels such as rabbits, hamsters and gerbils.

During my work experience at the petting centre (Herring Green farm) I was responsible for the care of the Goats, Rabbits and Guinea pigs.

At home I have three dogs, chickens, hedgehogs and fish. In the past I have had many gerbils and cats.

I am a trust worthy, reliable hard working person who has the care of the animal at the forefront of everything I do. I can cat sit or  am available to walk your dogs or just let them out and spend some quality time with them or am available to pet sit at your home. I also look after dogs at our home but this would need a trial first as I do have 3 Border Collies. 

During term time I am available from Thursday evening through to Monday evening to walk dogs. During college holidays I will be available all week. I am able to look after dogs, cats, gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens
