Hello! I’m Vera (Yang). I moved to York 5 years ago, initially as a student at the University of York, and fell in love with the city.

I have firsthand experience in caring for pets.I am a former dog owner, i have a 7 y/ r poodle who now lives with my parents. I also love cats, but due to my current rental situation where pets are not allowed, I haven't been able to have my own.

Each dog and cat has unique personalities and habits. I understand the importance of recognizing and respecting these differences to ensure they feel comfortable and stress-free. I take the time to get to know each pet, observe their behavior, and adapt my approach accordingly.

My schedule allows me to house-sit any day of the week. For drop-in visits, I am available before 9 am and after 5 pm in the week, with the flexibility to make midday visits if necessary. Fully available on weekends.

I prioritize maintaining excellent communication with you to ensure your pet’s needs are met consistently and thoroughly.

Services Provided:

• Drop-in Visits: feeding according to your schedule and instructions, refilling their water, cleaning bowls and litter tray.

Availability: Weekdays before 9 am and after 5 pm, with the flexibility to make midday visits during the workweek, and full days on weekends.

• House Sitting: overnight care in your home, ensuring your pet’s routine is uninterrupted. 

Availability: Daily, working from home allow me to stay with your pet during the day.

During house sitting, I will ensure all entry points are secured, I'll familiarize myself with emergency procedures and contacts, Moreover, Maintaining a low profile to keep the house appearing lived in, respecting your privacy and avoiding restricted areas. Providing regular updates, ensuring no unauthorized visitors enter and maintaining cleanliness for your pet’s safety and your home’s security.

• Dog Walking: To keep your pet healthy and active

Availability: Weekdays before 9 am and after 5 pm, and full days on weekends. 

Length: 30-45mins 

Location: I usually prefer walking dogs in areas close by for convenience, ensuring they have a consistent and familiar route. However, I am always happy to take them to greener spaces where they can enjoy a more varied and stimulating environment. I’m open to suggestions if you have a preferred location or park in mind!
