A little about me!
I'm a student at York University and I am looking for a flexible job doing what I love, which is taking care of all types of animals! I am at University every day but only for a few hours, therefore I have a lot of excess time to fit caring for pets into my schedule.
Being away from my own two rescue dogs has been difficult, particularly when I have been their main carer of them for over 7 years, therefore I would be really excited and happy to look after your pet as I can assure you, it would be as beneficial for me as it would be for your own pet!
Experience with dogs
As well as looking after my own two dogs, I have worked under a reputable pet sitter for the past 2 years. This work includes looking after 5-10 different dogs each day, ensuring they are enriched through play and training and their needs were met (walking, feeding, watering) and all surfaces were sanitary.
Experience with dog behaviour
It is important for me to note that I have looked after many different types of dogs, each with different temperaments and personalities, therefore, I understand the needs of hyper-active dogs as well as anxious dogs. I have also had a lot of experience handling rescue dogs given both my own, and many others that I looked after, were rescued. Please don't hesitate to enquire about any of my specific past experiences with pets to ensure I am the right fit for your pet!
Experience with cats and smaller pets
Additionally, I also did daily cat drop-ins where I ensured the cat's needs were fulfilled; water, food, and litter boxes were filled and functional; and the cat didn't miss out on any attention whether it be brushing, cuddling, or playing!
And lastly, I have previously owned hamsters and fish so I understand their care requirements whilst I have also looked after rabbits and guinea pigs for various owners when they have been on holiday.
Reference by my previous employer:
"I have been a mentor, instructor and consultant to many new pet sitters, dog walkers and boarders due to my 20+ years of experience and also my education in animal science. I have known Rebecca for over 5 years, she is one of the very very few young adults who take charge of the family's big and strong mutts, and really knows them inside out. She has been helping me with dog walking and dog sitting during her school holidays for the past 2 years, so she has come into contact with at least 50 to 60 different dogs, ranging from mini Poodle/Terrier to German Shepherd, with different personalities and temperament. Among all the assistants I have had in the last 8 years, she's the most focused, passionate and motivated individual. She really worked the dogs out, practiced reinforcing commands and spent time bonding with them. I really wish she could stay long-term in Singapore to help me. She loves other animals too and has started to learn about cat sitting." Ruby N.
Reviews from previous owners, newest first:
"Rebecca has been fantastic with our 4 month old German Shepherd puppy, Dex. She visits 3 times a week. Plays, walks and feeds Dex while I'm at work. He already adores her. She's confident and attentive with him. We are really lucky to have found her. Highly recommend." Katie
"Rebecca looked after our dog for a weekend in our house and did a truly exceptional job. She was very professional, arriving on time and leaving the house in a better state than we had left it in! She had clearly listened to everything that we had said about our dog's needs/routines and was very communicative throughout. Our dog was very relaxed when we got back and had clearly had a wonderful time (though was very disappointed when Rebecca left). Cannot recommend her highly enough." William G.
"Becky is a reliable dog walker and handler who works passionately and carefully. She assesses the risks when taking my beloved dogs on their daily meander as she is aware of their behavioural difficulties yet still treats them with love and respect. I recommend Becky highly." Linda, S
"Becky is a very caring, patient and calm individual with a natural affinity for doing good. Seeing her love and care for animals and her own pets is admirable. At first, I was hesitant to use Rover's services for my dachshund, as with others, she tends to get anxious. However, with Becky's care, I noticed a difference. She was ever so patient and kept sending me updates to keep my nerves at ease. I would recommend Becky's service to anyone and everyone who is naturally worried about leaving their pets with others." Tara, V 2022
"Becky really loves our dogs, Saul and Sierra and understands them very well. She knows how to make sure they don't fight over food and is good at keeping them calm when it starts thundering. Day to day, she walks them, feeds them, washes and grooms them and gives them lots of pats and attention!" Helen, S 2021

We were so happy to have Rebecca looking after our cat Ziggy, whilst we were away on holiday. Rebecca went in twice a day and went above and beyond, not only feeding Ziggy, but also having cuddles and playtime and even watered our plants! We loved receiving the updates and photos, which totally put our mind at rest. Rebecca was amazing at communicating with us, both before we went away and during our holiday. We would 100% recommend and will certainly book again! Thank you Rebecca x
