I am a huge dog lover ready to give your dog the care and attention it deserves when you are at work or on holiday. I retired at the beginning of 2024 and now have plenty of time to provide overnight stays, day care and dog walking. I can be flexible based on your requirements. As I no longer work, I am normally at home all day so your dog will never be left alone for any extended period.
Having previously owned a Labrador cross Saluki for over 15 years and looked after dogs of all sizes, from a miniature Daschund up to an extremely large Great Dane, I have the experience required to look after and care for your dog when you are not around. I am also happy to board puppies if they are crate trained.
I live with my wife, who is also a dog lover, there are no children and currently have no other pets at home. We live in a large detached house with a huge fully enclosed garden where your dog will be free to run and play. I have a large estate car and a Land Rover so transport is never a problem and I can pick up and drop off if required.
Your dog will become part of the family when staying in our house and will have freedom to roam downstairs during the day and can spend the evenings with us in our living room (in front of the log burner in the winter). At night, your dog can sleep either in the large kitchen or the utility room. There are many countryside and forest walks nearby along with a number of parks. I generally walk dogs at least twice a day but will adapt the frequency and length of walks depending on your requirements and your dog's exercise needs.
During your dog's stay with me, I will send regular updates and photos so you will be assured that your dog is happy, content and healthy.
I am fully insured and can share details of the policy if required.
I would be very happy to discuss any specific requirements and would welcome the opportunity to show you my home and garden prior to any overnight stay.

Hello, it’s me again.
I’ve had another great time at Rob’s. My owners booked me in for a two night stay this time. Rob greeted me with his usual great enthusiasm and then introduced me to another temporary resident. Wow, I fell in love. 😍
Rob took us for walks together and we played like puppies in his beautiful garden. I was sad when my stay came to an end but I hope to be going for an even longer stay in October.
My owners loved the regular updates to how I was getting on and laughed at the short video of me playing with my new friend.
The boys had a full day with Rob, who also dealt with any situations arising on the day with the best interests of the dogs at heart. They slept all night so obviously had a very nice time, and are looking forward to returning in a couple of months! Would recommend to anyone looking for a caring and flexible sitter.
