Hello dog lovers my name is Richy!
I'm 31 years old and work in IT project management for the Percy Hedley Foundation, who support people with disabilities.
I find it's a privilege to have the pets people love under my care. Looking after animals have taught me so much - skills like compassion, patience, love and empathy.
My training style is to reward positive behavior with lots of praise and attention and to ignore or distract if any unwanted behaviours occur - and once the unwanted behaviour goes away to then reward with praise and attention.
I have a commitment to maintaining a safe, loving and comfortable environment for the animals I look after.
I have a 3-bedroom house with a medium fully enclosed garden to myself, with no pets or children and so would welcome some furry friends running around my house and garden!
I have a full-time corporate job and will work from home all day to care for the animals. There are plenty of fields, beaches, woods and locals walks nearby which the dogs will absolutely enjoy as much I do.
Your dogs will get regularly walked morning and evening so at least twice a day but most likely 3 times a day including lunchtime; as well as played with regularly with plenty of attention. Happy to give regular daily updates with pictures, videos and messages.
My love of animals started when I was young when I grew up with cats. Since then I have fostered both cats and dogs while I was living in Australia, with some of these rescue animals going to long term loving homes. I'm currently not fostering or have any pets in my home, although since returning and living in the UK over the last few years I have looked after friend's dogs while the dog's owners go on holiday. I enjoyed it so much that I would like to do it regularly. I have volunteered for RCPCA in New Zealand, particularly caring for the rescue cats there.
My favourite things about animals is their unconditional love, loyalty and excitement when they see you!

10/10 as usual for Richy. He's looked after Bobby a few times for us now and always treats him as well as if he was his own. Bobby loves staying with Richy and gets proper pampered! Would recommend Richy and will use him again.
Bobby has recently returned after staying with Richy whilst we were on holiday.
Whilst away we received daily updates and pictures which sets your mind at ease.
Bobby is a complex character and is either happy to sit and look out of the window for hours or craving attention. Sounds that Richy was able to strike the right balance together with lots of lovely walks.
