A Pâtisserie and Culinary Arts student at Le Cordon Bleu London, I’ve always found joy in balancing my academic and professional life with meaningful, fulfilling activities. Along with being a part-time bartender, I’ve recently discovered a true passion for house and pet sitting. Since moving to London in September, I’ve been exploring the city’s vast offerings, but the most heartwarming experiences have been when I’ve had the opportunity to care for pets. For me, it’s the perfect blend of doing something I love—spending time with animals—while also experiencing the coziness and peacefulness of new environments.
My motivation to be a pet sitter stems from my deep-rooted love for animals and the genuine connection I feel toward them. Growing up with pets has taught me that they are so much more than just companions—they’re family. My 10-year-old dog, Noah, has been a big part of my life, and taking care of him through his various stages of life has given me valuable experience in understanding the unique personalities and needs of animals. He’s shown me the joy, loyalty, and emotional connection that pets bring, and in turn, I want to offer other pets the same level of care and affection that I give Noah.
Though I don’t have formal pet-sitting experience beyond taking care of my own pets, I have frequently helped friends and relatives by looking after their pets when needed. From energetic puppies to quiet older cats, I’ve had the chance to care for a variety of animals, each with their own distinct needs. These experiences have taught me how to tailor my approach to each pet, ensuring they feel comfortable, secure, and loved in my care. Whether it’s sticking to a particular feeding routine, offering playtime to burn off energy, or giving them a quiet space to relax, I focus on making sure each pet feels at home, even in my temporary care.
While I don’t currently offer pet sitting in my own home, as my current living arrangements are in student accommodation, I do understand the importance of health and safety when caring for pets. I prefer to care for pets that are vaccinated, ensuring the safety and well-being of the animals I look after. Although I am not open to hosting pets at my place at the moment, I am more than happy to travel to owners’ homes to ensure their pets receive the best care in the comfort of their own familiar environment.
To me, pet sitting goes beyond simply feeding or walking an animal—it’s about building trust and creating a nurturing environment where pets can feel safe and happy while their owners are away. With a background in caring for my own pets and the pets of friends and family, combined with my organized, responsible, and compassionate nature, I believe I can offer exceptional care to any pet entrusted to me. I’m excited about the opportunity to look after your furry family members and make their time without you as comforting and fun as possible.
