About Akanksha
Why I Love Pets
From the moment I was born, pets have been a fundamental part of my life, bringing joy and companionship. Growing up with three dachshunds and spending summers with my grandparents' golden retriever and St. Bernard cemented my deep appreciation for the bond between humans and animals. Today, my grandmother has 12 cats and one adorable Maltese and I go visit them once a year!
My Experience with Dogs
Throughout my life, dogs have been my constant companions. Moving to Singapore at 14, I began fostering rescues from the SPCA, including six puppies during COVID-19, which was one of the best periods of my life. During my undergraduate years in Toronto, I worked as a dog walker and sitter through Rover, which deepened my understanding of various breeds and temperaments.
In London, I have cared for four dogs over the past year and frequently visit my sister’s friendly Rottweiler to help with his training. Each interaction has enriched my life and provided a sense of fulfillment.
What Motivates Me to Be a Pet Sitter
My lifelong love for dogs drives my passion for pet sitting. The joy and comfort dogs bring into my life inspire me to provide reliable and affectionate care for others' pets. I cherish the trust pet owners place in me and am committed to making every pet's time with me as joyful and secure as possible. Being a pet sitter allows me to extend my love for dogs to many more furry friends, ensuring they receive the best care and companionship.
